From nani iro, one of KOKKA's most beloved textile lines featuring the work of Japanese illustrator Naomi Ito, comes this stunning 100% organic cotton double gauze. It is an airy dressweight with a slightly textured simple weave and a dry hand. It is semi-opaque and stable with some cottony crispness in the drape. The "Edelweiss" design has a 23.75" vertical repeat with a flurry of delicate flowers in soft white and rose with tiny accents of pearly white with a wonderful sheen on a teal background (PANTONE 18-4733, 18-1661, 11-0606, etc.). Your panel will include one full repeat, centered on the round negative space in the design. Note the narrower width which is typical for Japanese fabrics. Due to its soft and light texture, double gauze is the perfect fabric for a number of sewing projects including lightweight separates, tops, tanks, lined skirts and dresses, baby clothing, swaddles, and lightweight bags or pouches. If you wish to hand or machine wash, please test first. Hang to dry.
