Something I wanted to convey: Some time ago I ordered fabric #86829. It is a soft firm knit blend with pale grey/beige tiger stripe design. I had ordered this to make my daughter a repeat garment from an old Vogue 9022. This was a dress I'd made for her some +/-40 years ago. For her birthday, she had asked for a repeat. The fabric and its design nicely lent itself to this pattern. My daughter was delighted with this gift dress, and by chance she has a grey jacket to nicely match for the colder Michigan winters. I did want to tell you what a joy this fabric was to sew, and I even hand washed a large swatch to see how this would react. All went well! Thank you for providing such an array of wonderful fabrics. Emma One Sock is hands down my favorite online fabric resource and has been for 15+ years. I can't imagine how owner Linda Podietz could improve upon what she's built, she's a whiz at knowing how to keep her customers happy! The fabrics she offers run from the whimsical to the luxurious and everything in between, her eye for quality in every aspect of a given fabric always spot-on. The fabric descriptions are so helpful, so well thought out and accurate, and she references Pantone for every posting - I love this! Shopping for fabric is a breeze with her system of categorizing by type, by color. It's a dream to plan projects. As I'm typing this I am thinking of all the other areas of her website which deserve being mentioned for the amount of detail and consideration put into each section but this review would become too lengthy, so please, try to spend a few minutes to take a look around. I promise that you will wish you had more time to spend visiting EOS, it's that good, informative and inspiring! Check out the fabric search feature, her various sales, her DAILY NEW offerings (EOS is an active site daily, M-F!), the gallery for inspiration. There is a fabulous feature called "my fabrics" which lists every purchase you've made and includes a very detailed paragraph about all the aspects and uses, color references, etc., of your fabric. I can still look back to my purchases from 2008! So much more, really. There is a lot to see and it's all top-notch. This review won't be complete until I mention Linda's wonderful and talented staff. Linda is a hands-on and available business owner. Her staff? Well, they have taken Linda's vision for EOS and they carry it out with every communication and every order. They seem like a great team and they get it right. Expect to feel like it's your birthday when your package arrives - everything couldn't be more perfectly wrapped and handled with care. It truly is one of those details that separates EOS from the rest and just another detail that makes shopping at EOS such a pleasure for me.
